Software Engineer

Job description

Mercor is hiring Software Engineers to join a leading AI lab’s cutting-edge GenAI team. The role involves building full-stack applications, services, and internal tools that integrate and test frontier AI models before they are released. You will work closely with engineering teams to prototype quickly, integrate pre-release model APIs, build evaluation and telemetry systems, identify model failures, and provide technical feedback to research teams. Key Responsibilities: Build and ship full-stack applications, services, and internal tools. Integrate pre-release AI model APIs into production-quality software. Develop tool interfaces, evaluation harnesses, and telemetry systems. Diagnose and document model and integration failure cases. Prototype and deliver working solutions under changing requirements. Collaborate with engineers and engineering managers on architecture, code quality, and documentation. Work approximately 40 hours per week on a full-time basis. · Skills: Python, Java, Rust, C#, C++, SQL/relational or document databases., API development.
